Saskatoon, Canada Prairie Machine & Parts Mfg. - Partnership Full time

**Job Profile**

The Service Technician performs mechanical and electrical service work on electric vehicles and mining equipment. They conduct assessments and repairs to modules that are returned for repair, as well as travel on-site to troubleshoot and perform field repairs, as necessary. The Service Technician will be able to take information from engineering, sales, and the customer to repair EVs and mining equipment to the customers’ satisfaction.

**Primary Responsibilities**
- Understand the detailed mechanical and electrical workings of all Prairie Machine products
- Assess malfunctioning mechanical/electrical modules and determine the cause of the failure
- Perform quality repairs with a keen attention to detail
- Accurately communicate with the customer and our own engineers to ensure information is shared with all parties
- Provide input/feedback to the Prairie Machine design team as it pertains to the serviceability and longevity of products
- Assist production staff as required
- Produce timely and detailed service reports

**General Expectations**
- Follow prescribed safety standards, rules and regulations
- Participate in safety culture; lead by example
- Identify non-conformities and participate in their resolution
- Recommend improvements and develop improvement plans in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions
- Maintain a well-organized and clean facility as per Prairie Machine vision
- Maintain all equipment and tools per recommended procedures
- Maintain a healthy work environment

**Qualifications**
- Completion of Grade 12 or GED; Mechanical or Electrical trade required
- 1-2 years of field service experience
- Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment
- Experience with MS Office, basic programming knowledge
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence

**Compensation**
- Underground Mine Work eligible for a $10/hr premium
- Overtime may be available
