**WHAT YOU’LL DO**:
Reporting to the Controller, the Supervisor, Payroll is a member of the Financial Services team, providing financial services for the Health Centre’s patients, staff and physicians while ensuring an effective system of financial control. The Payroll Supervisor provides direction, leadership, and guidance in the day-to-day activities of the Payroll Clerks.
**WHAT YOU’LL BRING**:
- University Degree in Finance or Business
- Certified Payroll Manager (CPM)
- Five years progressive experience in payroll in a large size unionized organization is required, including supervisory experience
- Health care sector experience preferred
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation preferred

- Strong organizational skill with attention to detail, demonstrated integrity and professionalism.
- Excellent spread sheet and database skills
- Knowledge of current legislation, including but not limited to HRDC, CRA, ESA, WSIB, EHT, as related to payroll functions
- Leadership experience with an emphasis on relationship management and communication at all levels within an organization. Facilitate, coordinate, and meet multiple deadlines, create cohesive teams, and respond quickly to management requests
- Demonstrated ability to understand and appropriately respond to the concerns of others, practicing active listening when interacting with individuals or groups and the ability to reflect on verbal and non-verbal behaviour and communicate effectively
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and engage constructively with others to be part of the team working with others
- Demonstrates organizational awareness with a clear sense of organizational impact
- Demonstrated ability to plan and coordinate work, understand, and effectively manage resources, prioritize steps to be taken, anticipate potential barriers and develop contingency to address to execute and achieve objectives
- Demonstrated ability to foster learning & development of others through coaching, managing performance and mentoring to stretch and challenge others to develop and achieve new skills/competencies
- Demonstrated success by establishing appropriate levels of responsibility, holding others accountable and implementing appropriate recognition or consequences
- Demonstrated ability to inspire others toward common goals through engagement and empowerment
