What will I be doing?
As a Banquet Server, you would be responsible for serving all food and beverages, room set-up and tear-down, and responding to guest requests in the conference centre’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Read and follow all Banquet Event Orders (BEO) to set-up and deliver the product, service and menu expected by the client.
- Set-up / tear-down all tables, meeting space, and banquet areas according to conference centre standards and safety protocols.
- Service banquets, including clearing plates, cutlery, food, etc.
- Respond to guest requests, complaints, and accidents and communicate to management as appropriate.
- Clean-up conference spaces after the completion of each function and ensure that all equipment and supplies are stored and re-stocked properly.
- Maintain the storerooms(s) in a neat and orderly manner, stocked with any and all appropriate supplies necessary for food service functions, using the first-in-first-out method.
- Assist with audio visual set-ups/tear-downs, as required.
- Assist in the maintenance of a clean and healthy environment.
- Follow all money handling procedures when serving guests.
- Assist other associates, as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Perform medium work - exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
- Ability to stand during the entire shift.
