Responsibilities:
- Reviewing classroom or curricula topics and assignments.
- Assisting students with homework, projects, test preparation, papers, research and other academic tasks.
- Working with students to help them understand key concepts, especially those learned in the classroom.
- Distributing informative study guides and other teaching materials
- Assessing student's needs and progress.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education or another relevant discipline;
- 1 to 2 years of teaching experience;
- Excellent English writing skills;
- Excellent math skills;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural skills;
- Knowledge of the British Columbia secondary school curriculum and the expected outcomes for students at various grade levels
- Successful criminal record check
- Knowledge of a second language i.e. Arabic.
**Job Type**: Part-time
**Salary**: $20.00 per hour
