Job Title: Early Childhood Educator-Toddlers and Preschool Room leader

**Duties**:

- Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities for young children
- Create a safe and nurturing learning environment
- Prepare the classroom according to the Montessori and child led learning.
- Provide individualized attention and support to each child
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play and structured activities
- Should have knowledge of THE ALBERTA FLIGHT FRAMEWORK and working with children with special abilities.
- Collaborate with the director and communicate regularly about their child's progress
- Maintain accurate records of each child's development and behavior
- Ensure the classroom is clean, organized, and well-maintained
- Follow all health and safety guidelines

**Requirements**:

- Level 2 or Level 3 Alberta Early Learning Childhood Certificate
- Knowledge of Alberta Childcare Licensing Standards
- Exprerience or education in Montessori.
- Should be residing in Calgary and be available to work Monday to Friday shifts between 7.30 am to 5.30 pm.
- Wage top will be paid - base wage $17 + 5.05 wage top up for Level 2
- base wage $18 + 8.62 wage top up for Level 3
- Wages are paid on the last day of the month.
- Must have previous experience working with young children in a licensed daycare/preschool
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and administrators
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with children

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $19.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 32 per week
