Your challenge- This position will coordinate, in the most cost effective and efficient manner, the daily activities of our internal fleet of vehicles as well as direct the activities of outbound deliveries. The Dispatcher will work collectively with the Dispatch Manager to facilitate and ensure our highest level of service to all of our customers.- Individual responsibilities- Assign jobs to specific vehicles, organizing those vehicle runs in an efficient and cost effective manner, utilizing available drivers and equipment.
- Change runs as necessary (pick up needed ASAP, vehicle breakdown, etc.), while maintaining efficiency.
- Co-ordinate loading/unloading trailers with plants.
- Inform plant (s) of changes in inbound and outbound loads
- Discuss productivity issues with Dispatch Manager (drivers, call scheduling, etc.)
- Track location of all trailers, roll off containers, and all other units.
- Monitor all driver KPI’S in place for each line of business.
- Monitor daily time in motion on all vehicles.
- Monitor drivers weekly work hours.
- Maintain and update daily pushed calls report, inventory and any reportings required.
- Communicate with sales staff regarding customer service requests, complaints and service interruptions.
- Review run sheets as required and correct and complete runs in system.
- Deal with day to day driver issues as they may arise. ( delays, accidents/incidents breakdowns)
- To maintain effective and professional communication between departments and drivers at all times.
- Inform Transportation Supervisor of driver and/or equipment problems (including trucks, trailers, and containers, off site equipment).
- Participate in all required meetings.

- High school diploma or higher degree.

**Skills/Experience**:

- Preferably 3 years industry experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well with others as well as independently.
- Dependable attendance.
- Positive “Team” attitude.
- High School level or better math skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Self-motivated problem solver.
- At least 3 years experience with computers. Must be computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook as well as an aptitude for custom programming.
- Physical Demands (If required)- Minor lifting.
- Work Environment- Office environment
