**Position Title**: Estimator

**Location**:Coquitlam, BC

At Mainland Plumbing & Heating Ltd. we’re recognized across Metro Vancouver for our high standards of craftsmanship, customer service and attention to detail. We are constantly striving to set new standards of quality in Vancouver’s plumbing industry. Specializing in tenant improvement projects, commercial kitchens, restaurant bathroom plumbing, fixture installations, building repipe and retrofits, back-flow testing and installation, drain and pipe cleaning and emergency plumbing services.

Mainland Plumbing and Heating, is looking for a plumbing and mechanical experienced individual to join our team. This role will require strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment and the ability to work in a team environment. You will be involved in conducting on site estimations, generating quotes, source products, and maintaining positive customer rapport. Experience in gas, plumbing, project management and mechanical construction are an asset. We are looking for positive-minded individuals who are eager to drive sales.

Founded in 1998, Mainland Plumbing and Heating Ltd. provides plumbing, HVAC, gas fitting and drain cleaning services to retail, residential, commercial, industrial and institutional businesses throughout. Proudly servicing the Fraser Valley, Greater Vancouver and Metro Vancouver areas.

**As an Estimator your role includes**:

- Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, site visits and related documents
- Maintains contact and relationships with individuals and organizations
- Identifies labor, material, and time requirements
- Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
- Presents prepared estimates to clients
- Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
- Works with suppliers to gather material data required for projects
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Work independently and collaboratively with fellow team members, supervisors, and owners
- Attain budgeted targets and company goals
- Work independently on assigned projects with time restraints in mind
- Following company standard requirements on safety and quality protocols

**Preferred Skills/Requirements**:

- Estimating experience is a requirement
- Plumbing experience and education is an asset
- Experience with take-off software is preferred but not required
- Mechanical Construction experience and education is preferred but not required
- Project management experience and education is preferred but not required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Experience working in construction and residential environments
- High School Diploma
- Fluent in English

**Salary**:

- Range of salary between $75,000. - $115,000. Varies based on experience and education
- Full-Time, Permanent

**Schedule**:

- 8 hour shifts
- Day shifts
- On-call availability (evenings/weekends)
