**We're looking for an experienced Global Payroll Manager to lead D2L's payroll-related processes.**:

As Manager, Global Payroll, you are passionate about accuracy and payroll timelines. This position will be responsible for processing and overseeing global payroll.

Your main role will be focused on assisting all aspects of the compensation cycle at D2L. You will be a critical part of ensuring a successful delivery of our compensation programs in support of our overall rewards strategy. You will also have direct management responsibility of our Payroll Team and have oversight into our payroll process, helping to improve processes and creating efficiencies when it comes to our payroll practices.

**How will I make an impact?**
- Manage the timely and accurate processing of bi-weekly payroll for Canada, US, and international locations
- Creation, execution and data analysis of various quarterly/semi-annual ad hoc reports
- Confirms accuracy of payroll data such as new hire set-up, terminations, promotions, transfers, salary changes and reporting relationship changes
- Prepare all monthly payroll journal entries, reconciliations, and filings
- Coordinate year end process and reconciliations including preparation and filing of T4 slips, W2s, EHT summaries, etc
- “Superuser” for Ceridian Dayforce HRIS/payroll system. Troubleshoot with Ceridian regarding software/payroll issues.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory payroll requirements including staying up to date on relevant employment and tax law globally
- Preparation and filing of required reports and/or payments to government agencies
- Take a leadership role when completing testing payroll processes and assisting with external auditor requests
- Review overall policies and procedures and develop strategies aimed to improve processes
- Improve and enhance methods and operating procedures to increase payroll productivity
- Respond to and take initiative when resolving escalations and payroll issues
- Promote an effective team environment
- Act as a mentor, demonstrate leadership attributes and share professional/technical expertise with junior members
- Viewed as functional expert, create feedback loops and involve others in problem solving and decision making
- Plan, assign and direct the work of Payroll Specialist
- Assist in training Payroll Specialist
- Provide feedback to professional individual contributors
- Frequently interact with Payroll Administrator and functional peer groups gaining cooperation of others, conducting presentations of technical information for specific projects or schedules

- Play key role with interviewing, hiring and onboarding new team members. Provide expertise and coaching/mentorship to the team members.
- Produce and actively participate in knowledge sharing as well as professional development initiatives

**What you’ll bring to the role**:

- 7+ years’ experience administering payroll working with HRIS/payroll systems.
- Deep understanding of Canadian and US payroll, at minimum a moderate level of inter
