The **Niagara Falls **office is looking for a hardworking and detail-oriented **Payroll Specialist** to join our Finance and Accounting team.

**SUMMARY OF THE ROLE**:
The Payroll Specialist is accountable for working with the payroll team to prepare and administer company payroll, improve associated processes, and ensure the integrity of reported financial payroll data with a focus on audit, compliance, and support with respect to the collective agreements, company policy, Canadian payroll, labour, and tax legislation.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Assist in the processing of payroll for all unionized and non-unionized employees, including the collection, calculation, and entering of timesheets
- Assist in the preparation of Records of Employments and T4's including annual reconciliation
- Manage payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
- Analyze all data for accuracy to ensure that appropriate processing procedures are followed, in order to ensure employees are paid on an accurate and timely basis
- Update and maintain various spreadsheets
- Execute relevant weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearend reports as directed by the Payroll Manager
- Provide accurate and timely information when required
- Interface with multiple departments to improve processes and company efficiency
- Work alongside the Manager to maintain and upgrade all payroll programs and reports
- Work in a fast paced and mostly digital environment
- Provide courteous and efficient service to employees and management on all payroll-related questions

**KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS**:

- Two-year diploma or degree with a concentration in business administration, accounting, human resources or related field
- A minimum of two years of payroll, accounting or human resources experience
- Currently enrolled in or have attained a payroll designation will be considered an asset
- Internet, MS Office (Outlook/Word/Excel), and Adobe skills required
