Business Immigration Law Clerk

**Key Responsibilities**
Assist in all aspects of business immigration engagements and contribute to the delivering of solutions and ideas for our diverse client base, including:
- Timely management of multiple files from beginning to end (i.e. initial document collection and review through to drafting, editing and final submission)
- Detailed analysis of client documents
- Organization and maintenance of on-going file list
- Conducting research, as required and staying current with Canadian immigration programs
- Taking instructions from internal and external clients, obtaining information from immigration authorities, providing status reports and maintaining timely communication with clients and other stakeholders
- Liaising with lawyers, students, clients and foreign counsel while providing high-quality, professional service
**Required Knowledge and Experience**
- Successful completion of the ILCO Corporate Law Clerk course or a law clerk certificate/diploma (or equivalent) offered by a recognized Ontario educational institution
- 3-7+ years of business immigration law clerk experience*, including proficiency with Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) and LMIA exemption processes
- Technical proficiency using the entire MS Office Suite
- Strong working knowledge of the Canadian business immigration program
