Cake Decorator

**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Decorate cakes using a variety of techniques such as piping, fondant work, airbrushing, and sculpting.
- Collaborate with customers and team members to design custom cakes for special occasions such as birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, and corporate events.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment in compliance with food safety standards.
- Ensure the visual appeal and consistency of all decorated products.
- Monitor inventory of decorating supplies and ingredients; notify management when restocking is needed.
- Stay up to date on cake decorating trends, tools, and techniques.
- Assist with baking or other kitchen tasks as needed during peak periods.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a cake decorator or in a similar role (portfolio required).
- Proficiency in various decorating techniques (buttercream, fondant, piping, etc.).
- Strong artistic and creative skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in baking/pastry arts is a plus.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 per week
