**Overview**
The Sales Associate is responsible for driving sales through exceptional customer service, accurate project quoting, and effective account management. This role requires a strong knowledge of building materials and construction products, including lumber, hardware, roofing, insulation, and other related supplies. The Sales Associate will work closely with vendors, customers, and internal teams to ensure smooth order processing, competitive pricing, and timely project delivery.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Sales & Customer Service**
- Provide accurate and detailed quotes for projects such as roofing, siding, and framing jobs.
- Manage customer accounts by maintaining strong relationships, ensuring satisfaction, and identifying new sales opportunities.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries, providing knowledgeable advice on products, pricing, and availability.
- Execute project tenders within specified timeframes while ensuring competitive and profitable bids.

**Product Knowledge & Support**
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of building materials including lumber, roofing, insulation, hardware, and related construction products.
- Maintain positive relationships with vendors to stay informed about new products, promotions, and industry trends.

**Operational & Inventory Coordination**
- Work collaboratively with operations and warehouse teams to ensure optimal stock levels and efficient order fulfillment.
- Monitor order processing to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and customer satisfaction.
- Assist in forecasting product demand to support purchasing and inventory planning.

**Sales Analysis & Profitability**
- Track sales performance metrics and prepare regular sales and margin reports for management.
- Monitor pricing and margins to ensure profitability and competitiveness in the market.
- Recommend adjustments to pricing strategies based on sales trends and market conditions.

**Qualifications & Skills**
- Proven experience in building supply sales, estimating, or related construction industry roles.
- Strong ability to read blueprints and perform material take-offs.
- Experience with Microsoft Business Central is a plus
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with both customers and vendors.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

**Working Conditions**
- Full-time position based in-store with occasional site visits as needed.
- Fast-paced environment requiring multitasking and proactive problem-solving.

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
