**Traffic Controller**

Beamish Construction is looking for a hard-working, self-motivated employee with a proven record of safety and reliability to fill the position of Traffic Control Person in the Greater Sudbury, Ontario area. This is a full-time seasonal position available with an extensive benefits package.

**JOB DUTIES**:

- Set-up and take down traffic control signs and devices.
- Control the safe and efficient flow of traffic through construction zones.
- Keep a log of all daily tasks and filling in time sheets and work orders.
- Ensure safety and emergency procedures are followed.
- Must stand for extended periods of time in all weather conditions.
- Travel to job sites with overnight stays when required.
- Display professionalism toward our company and customers.
- Must maintain a clean and tidy work environment and equipment.
- Work in accordance with all internal, client and regulated health and safety policies, procedures and/or regulations, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.

**JOB QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education**:

- Valid G Class Driver’s License.
- High school diploma is considered an asset.
- Prior experience in the construction or concrete industry is considered an asset.

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- Ability to do physical labour and other strenuous physical tasks including physical requirements of lifting (up to 50lbs), bending, climbing, extended periods of standing, etc.
- Verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
- Ability to adapt to last-minute changes as dictated by the needs of our customers.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
