**The Job - Cabinet Maker**

Cabinet Makers at On Side rebuild and restore damaged cabinets.

**What you bring**

Cabinet Makers brings a host of abilities to their work, not the least being a ‘get it done’ attitude. Additional abilities required include:

- Experience working in construction environments with tools and the skills to use them
- Strong people and communication skills
- Attention to detail, passion for quality and pride in the work you do
- A safety mindset
- Valid driver’s licence and a clean criminal record (we do check)
- Ability to communicate in English
- Past industry experience that can translate to success in this job: carpenter, drywallers, painters, handyman, labourer, general contractor, building maintenance_

**What you’re responsible for**

The multi-talented GRT is _skilled_ in many of the following ways:

- Repairs to wooden structures of all sorts
- Metal stud framing
- Drywalling and finishing
- Ceiling installation, knockdown and texturing
- Insulation and vapour barrier installation
- Being awesome, in general
- Brush and roller painting (could include walls, ceilings, trim. Landscapes and portraiture not required)
- Installation
- Doors
- Trim, moldings and baseboards
- Hardware installation
- Cabinetry

**Other stuff that’ll help you be successful but isn’t mandatory**:

- Skilled trades ticket (Carpenter, Painter, Cabinetmaker)
- IICRC certification (restoration focus)
- WHMIS
- First Aid

**Of Note**

Disasters can strike at any time so a rotating schedule of 24/7 after hours on-call work is a requirement.
