**Department Manager - Replenishment NIGHTS (Halifax Market) - Currently supporting Lower Sackville Real Atlantic Superstore #351**

In this role, you are responsible for all overnight staff working within the store. Specific focus will include the grocery, dairy and frozen food departments within the store. As part of our Management Team, you will be a mentor and leader, developing your team through succession planning initiatives, supporting our Care, Ownership, Respect, and Excellence (CORE) Values. Part of your responsibility as a Department Manager will include overnight responsibilities for executing the stock replenishment plans and preparing the isles, shelves and perimeter of the store with full inventory and ready for our customer shopping experience each morning when the store opens for business.

**No Previous Retail or Management Experience?**

**What you'll do**:

- Oversee the nightly operations of the replenishment departments and the outlying departments within the store

- Ensure the night teams and departments meets or exceeds preparation and inventory conditions for the next day to maximize sales and profitability goals

- Train and develop department colleagues in efficiencies, colleague engagement, product knowledge, and merchandising

- Ensure merchandise is stocked, displayed, and priced appropriately

- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with other departments to ensure timely replenishment

- Maintain a clean and safe department for colleagues and customers.

- Manage departmental expenses and assist in budget preparation

- Communicate regularly with store management and other department managers to ensure store-wide goals are being met

- Be constantly on the lookout for great talent to join our team

- Lead, coach and motivate colleagues to improve productivity, engagement and retention

- Be committed to maintaining merchandising and operational standards

- Building and leading diverse teams that foster a workplace of inclusiveness and belonging

**What you bring**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred

- Previous retail management experience, preferably in a departmental or specialty store setting

- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop associates

- Excellent organizational and time management skills

- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends

- Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office

- Knowledge of retail operations, including merchandising, inventory management, and customer service

- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.
