Come share your passion with us **The role we are offering you**: - Lead, and execute the activities surrounding the Indigenous Participation Plan commitments and obligations of CAE’s Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) Program - Create employment opportunities for local Indigenous Peoples within CAE’s training operations in Moose Jaw - Work with local post-secondary institutions to provide skills development & training opportunities for Indigenous youth with the end-goal of creating a pathway to employment - Support and facilitate CAE’s objective to increase spend with Indigenous-owned businesses - Develop and submit Indigenous Participation Plan reports, documentation and updates to Canada - Support in developing the Indigenous Participation Plan on active proposals - Undertake and pursue initiatives with local Indigenous communities - Organize and participate in Indigenous-related events and initiatives across Canada in order to increase the visibility of CAE - Support CAE’s Progressive Aboriginal Relations (PAR) certification and the company’s reconciliation action plan - Be a member of CAE’s Indigenous Employee Resource Group (ERG) and support its goals - Build transparency, communication and awareness of company operations and activities, with local Indigenous communities - Build and maintain programs and initiatives to support Indigenous youth and coordinate community contributions and donations to support the creation of skills development & training opportunities for Indigenous people and Indigenous schools - Minimum three (3) years’ experience leading two-way engagement and information sharing with Indigenous nations, and organizations, including negotiating and implementing relationship agreements, and producing written reports on engagement activities and outcomes. Experience as relationship builder and trusted liaison, demonstrated through integrity and authenticity, collaboration, inclusivity, and creative approaches to solving problems. - Knowledge of Indigenous culture to influence reconciliation journey into business projects and operations. - Experience interfacing and successfully navigating difficult conversations with representatives of Indigenous nations and organizations, and with project teams and contractors. - Experience communicating one-on-one and in group forums with Indigenous nations and organizations at the member/citizen, staff and leadership level. - Preference may be given to applicants who self-identify as Indigenous (First Nations, Métis or Inuit). - Post-secondary degree in a relevant area of study (e.g. Human Resources, Indigenous studies and/or communications and/or environmental sciences or related field). **CAE offers**: - an environment where your initiatives will be recognized and valued - the opportunity to travel internationally - the opportunity to work on a variety of projects on a multidisciplinary team - the opportunity to represent the organization at external conventions and conferences - the possibility to work from home occasionally - flexible schedules - attractive employee benefits LI-JN1 **Position Type** Regular CAE thanks all applicants for their interest.
