Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced **Structured Cabling Technician** to join our team on a **contract basis**. As a contractor, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of cable systems across various client sites, ensuring the highest standards of quality and service. This position requires an in-depth understanding of telecommunications, security systems, fiber optics, and network infrastructure.

**Responsibilities**:

- Experience troubleshooting and terminating structured cabling systems.
- Experience troubleshooting, splicing and terminating fiber optics systems.
- Install and configure CCTV surveillance systems.
- Install and configure access control systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair low voltage systems to minimize client downtime.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all work performed, including service records and inventory logs.
- Conduct site surveys and perform system inspections to identify and address potential issues.

Experience Requirements
- Minimum **5 years of experience in structured cabling** installation and troubleshooting.
- Minimum **5 years of experience in fiber optic splicing and termination**.
- Minimum **3 years of experience installing and troubleshooting CCTV camera systems**.
- Minimum **3 years of experience installing and troubleshooting access control systems**.

**Qualifications**:

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and schematics.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently with mínimal supervision.
- Reliable vehicle and own set of tools preferred.
- Willingness to travel to client sites as required.
