**Barrie Welding and Machine is looking for someone with strong organizational / communication skills for our**_**STEEL WAREHOUSE**_**.** **Main responsibilities** - **Properly able to read a measuring tape**(measure twice, cut once) - **Unloading of steel / sorting / placement of inventory**: - **Cutting steel to specified sizes using various band saws and shear**: - **Organizing of raw materials within our facility**: - **Filling Orders for customers and our shop** **You are a Self Starter with ability to work independently with mínimal supervision** You have the ability to safely handle heavy parts/steel using overhead cranes Your Quality and Attention to detail are the utmost importance You are capable of working within a team and on your own You are a self-starter and you can work independently safely **Being a jobbing shop there is overtime that is required** We are offering a Full-time, Permanent Position $22 - $ 27 Per Hr. based on your experience Our Benefits: - Dental care through our HSA - Disability insurance - Extended health care - Life insurance - On-site parking - RRSP contribution - Vision care - Prescription - OT bonus program - Prescription Drug card - Massage, chiropractor, physiotherapy, psychotherapy, counseling services, naturopath, - A generous safety boot allowance of $300.00 per year - Casual dress - Employee assistance program Full-time, Permanent $22 -$27 per hour Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Monday to Friday - Overtime pay - "Must be legally eligible to work in Canada" **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $22.00-$27.00 per hour **Benefits**: - Casual dress - Dental care - Disability insurance - Employee assistance program - Extended health care - Life insurance - On-site parking - RRSP match - Vision care Application question(s): - Must be able to read a measuring tape - (make accurate cuts of material) - "Must be legally eligible to work in Canada" - MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN A SHOP ENVIROMENT - CUTTING STEEL / HANDLING STEEL. - Must have worked with steel, cutting using a oxy acetylene torch & band saws - Crane experience would be an asset to place raw material away into racks - Must be able to work overtime when required - This is not a Shipping & Receiving position **Experience**: - handling Steel: 5 years (preferred) - working with Steel: 5 years (required) Work Location: In person
