Burloak is currently looking for a Master Scheduler to join our team in Burlington.

This scheduling professional plays a central role in the day to day operating activities at Burloak. As a scheduler, your primary responsibility is to prepare an actionable and efficient production schedule; one that fulfills all customer requirements. This requires analyzing customer requests, expected delivery dates, plant personnel, equipment capabilities, and inventory availability. The ability to stay up to date on the priorities of the business and work cross departmentally within Burloak, will ultimately be key success factors in this role.

The Master Scheduler’s responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
**Developing Production Scheduling**
- Creating and maintaining production schedules to meet customer demands. This includes schedules for the Press department, Toolroom, CNC Machining, Die Repair, and Maintenance
- Developing run standards as part of a best in class schedule. This includes working with Supervisors to update and validate setup times, changeover times, run hours and productivity factors.
- Developing best practice production run strategies that seek to reduce equipment downtime
- Ensuring all quality steps are planned and adhered to when scheduling a production run
- Reviewing and monitoring the short-term and long-term forecasts for production requirements
- Reviewing and accessing customer portals to identify new or repeat orders
- Consolidating and streamlining schedule reporting; ideally utilizing scheduling modules in E2
- Establishing Bill of Material routings in the ERP where appropriate
- Reviewing, approving, distributing and streamlining work order management for Production
- Sending order acknowledgements
- Order entry of production jobs into excel and the ERP system

**Cross Department Administration and Reporting**
- Preparing and distributing the daily/weekly production schedules (all departments)
- Developing weekly and monthly schedule attainment reporting when required; monitoring jobs to ensure they finish on-time and within budget
- Preparing scheduled forecasts to foresee constraints; notifying management when these situations arise; especially when they are critical path
- Supporting Health and Safety Manager with APQP tracking
- Liaising closely with Operations & Purchasing to ensure that all materials and equipment are available before scheduling customer orders and confirming delivery targets with Shipping
- Attending production meetings to identify and resolve potential issues
- Communicating with customers regarding returnable bins and dunnage requirements
- Any other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager

**Qualification Requirements**:

- Proficiency in Excel is required
- Prior experience in scheduling projects and/or production is required
- Certification in scheduling or project management (such as PMI or PMBOK) is plus
- A demonstrated comprehensive understanding of manufacturing logic, procurement, and capacity planning is required
- Attention to detail is a must
- Postsecondary education (e.g. in business or project management) is required
- Prior experience with an ERP system is required
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required
- Superior organizational and planning abilities are required
