Job Summary*
The CNC Operator supports manufacturing by interpreting production designs, safely inputting design specifications and adjusting as necessary, and performing quality checks on the final product. The focus is on producing high quality products that meet internal and customer requirements, and contributing to the best intersection between Best Quality, Best Delivery and Best Price.

What you’ll be doing*
- Operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as loading, test runs, and inspecting final products
- Prepare and load materials into the CNC machines with correct cutting tools
- Produce parts by making precision cuts into metal
- Adjust machine settings for the desired product specifications including control speed, material feed, and the path of the punch
- Prepare and organize tooling for set-up and next operation
- Supervise CNC machines during production and make adjustments as necessary to maintain product quality and consistency
- Quality check final product to ensure they meet production and quality standards on a consistent basis
- Follow production schedules to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of materials to and from the machine center
- Troubleshoot and diagnose common CNC problems, and consult with manufacturer as necessary
- Conduct maintenance of CNC equipment to ensure safe and efficient long-term performance including regular fluid and filter checks
- Work in compliance with established safety procedures
- Advise other operators of the existence of any potential or actual danger to the health and safety of operators
- Report any safety concerns to supervisor
- Use or wear equipment, protective devices or clothing
- Maintain clean work area
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management

**Qualifications**
- 2 years of CNC experience in metal manufacturing
- Experience programming CNC machines for high volume production
- Knowledge of and experience with related material handling equipment
- Ability to interpret designs, follow precise instructions and fully document inspection, maintenance and test results
- Strong attention to detail to quality check products for defects
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand how to increase output and fix errors
- Excellent hand eye coordination
- Willingness and ability to work as part of a team
- Commitment to a very high quality of work
- Physically capable of lifting up to 20 kgs

**Working at Muma Manufacturing**
This is a full-time, permanent position working in St. Thomas, Ontario. Expected hours are Monday - Friday. We offer a highly competitive compensation and benefits package.
