Shipping and Receiving Supervisor

Space Aid Mfg, a Division of M&P Tool Products Inc, is one of Canada's largest manufacturers of warehouse storage systems and we are looking to add new members to our warehouse team. We are looking for a hardworking Shipping and Receiving professional to assist with critical roles like shipping, receiving, material handling, order picking, department coordination and inventory control. We have excellent team leaders that will provide you with the training and skills to grow within our company.

**LOCATION**: Brampton, ON

**HOURS**:Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 4:00 pm + OT as required

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Oversee daily operations of shipping and receiving department and ensure accurate and seamless processing of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Load and unload multiple trucks daily (containers, vans and flat decks.)
- Pulling and packaging orders as required.
- Ensure all product being shipped and received are packaged as per approved procedures.
- Ensure all product counts are accurate and properly labelled 24 hours prior to shipment.
- Must understand the importance of this position on other business functions that depend on accuracy and efficiency of both incoming and outgoing orders.
- Will be responsible to train, lead and instruct two other staff within department
- Organizing and keeping work area (indoors and outdoors) clean and organized.
- Ensure orders are filled in a timely and effective manner.
- Load, unload and move products by hand or material handling equipment as required.
- Counting, weighing, sorting and packaging as required.
- Receive and accept deliveries to warehouse / yard and verify incoming and outgoing goods against invoices, pick lists and bills of lading.
- Process and complete all necessary paperwork and documentation as required why ensuring other staff are doing the same with perfect accuracy.
- Problem solved efficiently and effectively as required in a calm and professional manner.

**SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Experience working in a busy warehouse environment.
- 3-5 years of counter balance fork lift experience with valid license.
- Proficiency in English, both reading and writing (other languages would be an asset but are not necessary)
- Ability to operate a counter balance forklift (propane)
- MUST be able to work outdoors
- Willing to lead by example and direct staff as required
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including lifting 50 lbs or more, standing for extended periods of time etc.
- Strong organization abilities.
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

- Loyal and dependable with impeccable attendance and performance history
- Ability to stay focused and calm under stressful conditions.
