**JOB PURPOSE**:
Reporting to the Manager, Maintenance Operation Control (MOC) the incumbent will be responsible for the overall coordination of fleet line maintenance activity, ensuring maximum aircraft availability and on time departure.
**SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Coordinate all line maintenance activity at home base and out stations and provide technical assistance including troubleshooting instructions as applicable;
- Guide, direct and instruct contracted maintenance organization and flight crew to ensure compliance with maintenance requirement, maximum serviceability and on time departure;
- Manage technical dispatch of fleet in accordance with applicable standards of airworthiness and internal procedures;
- Ensure that defect investigations and rectification actions are progressed quickly and efficiently to ensure prompt return to service;
- Maintain and update event log during shift period to ensure continuity of information at shift handover;
- Communicate any aircraft operational restriction to relevant departments;
- Track all aircraft deferrals (MELs, CDL ) and ensure timely rectifications;
- Review and approve technical documentation and maintenance release from contracted maintenance organization as part of technical dispatch procedure;
- Act as focal point for all line maintenance activities around the clock including IROPS and emergency operation;
- Continually update Manager MOC and other departments of aircraft status and availability;
- Prepare workscope for contracted maintenance organization and provide appropriate purchase order or work authorization;
- As applicable, coordinate and/or support parts and services availability with purchasing;
- Other duties as assigned by the Manager MOC.
**QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED**:
- Valid M2 Transport Canada AME License;
- Minimum of five (5) years related experience in aircraft maintenance;
- Computer skills focused on Microsoft 365 programs;
- Possess a solid understanding of CAR’s;
- Experience planning and coordinating aircraft maintenance;
- Strong Customer service focus;
- Organizational skills and ability to work under pressure;
- Team player.
