Reporting to the Executive Director, the Social Worker is responsible for providing quality, confidential and highly professional counseling to patients of the Petawawa Centennial Family Health Centre (PCFHC). The PCFHC provides a broad range of primary health care and health promotion services to protect preserve and promote the health and well being of all residents of the Town of Petawawa and area.

**Job Region**: Petawawa, Renfrew County.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor of Social Work required, Master of Social Work preferred.
- One (1) to three (3) years of clinical experience, providing services for a wide range of presenting issues, including mental health, physical health, intimate partner violence, coping and stress management techniques, and adjustment disorders.
- Member in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.

**KNOWLEDGE**
- Of skills and training in evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
- Of working within interdisciplinary primary health care environments.
- Of appropriate documentation and data collection in accordance with college and legislative standards and guidelines.
- Of working with community resources and partnerships.
- Of time management as well as excellent oral and written skills.

**EXPERIENCE**
- Developing, providing and facilitating professional and clinically relevant therapy for one on one, couples and/or groups sessions.
- Working both independently and collaboratively within a primary health care inter-disciplinary team and/or similar environment.
- Maintaining appropriate documentation, data collection and ensuring confidentiality of all records in accordance with college and legislative standards.
- Engaging in client-centered care;
- Communicating with team members regarding clients’ needs, as appropriate;
- Developing and implementing appropriate and attainable treatment plans in collaboration with clients;
- Identifying, building, maintaining and collaboratively working with professional relationships, and other community resources within the community and surrounding areas to meet client community mental health needs;
- Ability to work under pressure, with interruptions and still meet deadlines;
- Professional presentation and approach;
- Excellent time management skills and written verbal and interpersonal communication skills in English, with French considered an asset.

**WORKING CONDITIONS**
- Primarily in an office environment and/or within individual interview rooms.
- The work environment can often be stressful due to the fast pace and heavy workload. Frequent interactions with others may lead to repeated interruptions throughout the day
- Working outside of standard office hours may be required;
- Business travel may be required;
- There may be occasional exposure to emotional patients and/or staff.

Pay: $74,148.00-$76,150.00 per year
