The Administrative Assistant will assist in all aspects of administration and outreach activities for the netWORKS program.
- Assist the Manager, Youth Service Programs with outreach/marketing, recruitment and screening of applicants
- Assist with facilitation of workshops and coaching participants as needed
- Provide individual coaching/counseling regarding action planning, community resources, and volunteer coordination
- Assist the Manager, Youth Service Programs by contacting employers/organizations to develop volunteer opportunities and monitoring youth at their volunteer placements as needed
- Assist with administrative tasks such as tracking, submitting attendance, communication with clients as well as community organizations and
- Assist Manager, Youth Service Programs in contacting participants after networking events to offer further individual assistance and to determine participants’ achievements in relation to their
- Assist with administrative tasks associated with client recruitment, event management, and volunteer placements
- Assist with evaluating progress, identifying newcomer youth needs
- Other Administrative duties as assigned
- Possess solid administrative skills and have a demonstrated ability in the use of MS office products, web browsers and online research tools and social media
- Experience working in a customer service or direct delivery of services to the public in a marketing outreach, public relations or related role
- Knowledge of marketing principals with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of job search strategies
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
- Enjoy a wide variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong team player, with the ability to prioritize and problem solve
- Experience working with diverse cultural groups
