Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Recreation and Leisure Services Instructor to join our team at a Toronto engineering college. As an instructor, you will be responsible for teaching courses related to recreation and leisure services within our program. Your expertise in program planning, event management, leisure education, and facility operations will contribute to the development and delivery of engaging and practical lectures, hands-on activities, and field experiences.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and deliver curriculum for Recreation and Leisure Services courses, covering topics such as program planning, event management, leisure education, facility operations, and community engagement.
- Organize and coordinate practical activities, such as field trips, guest speaker sessions, and group projects, to provide students with hands-on learning experiences.
- Assign and evaluate assignments, presentations, and exams to assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
- Support student learning by providing guidance, mentoring, and assistance with assignments, career development, and networking opportunities.
- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in recreation and leisure services, incorporating relevant knowledge into teaching materials and methodologies.
- Collaborate with fellow instructors and college staff to enhance the learning environment, contribute to program development, and participate in faculty meetings and professional development activities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes teamwork, creativity, and a healthy lifestyle.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree or higher in Recreation and Leisure Studies, Leisure Education, or a related field. Relevant industry certifications are desirable.
- Proven experience in the recreation and leisure services field, with expertise in program planning, event management, leisure education, and facility operations.
- Teaching experience in a post-secondary or adult education setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with industry software and technology used in recreation and leisure services.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage and inspire students.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines effectively.
- Familiarity with engineering or technical disciplines is a plus.
- Continuous learning mindset, staying updated with industry trends and advancements in recreation and leisure services.

Job Summary:
The Toronto engineering college is seeking a Recreation and Leisure Services Instructor to teach courses within our program. **Salary**: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
