Cellula is seeking a self-motivated, friendly, and persuasive Procurement Specialist to join our growing team. In this position you will play a critical role in the success of our business by coordinating purchases to meet company needs, working with & building a network supplier, and developing purchasing strategies.

Cellula is an innovative engineering company that specializes in automated and tele-robotics systems; primarily for the offshore and subsea market space. **Position Overview**
- Purchase goods, materials and services to ensure that the company needs are met, taking into account price, quality and delivery and to ensure continuity of supply
- Act as an interface between suppliers and other relevant departments on purchasing processes and new projects and activities

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Monitor inventory levels and verify purchase requisitions
- Negotiate terms and contracts with suppliers
- Follow up with suppliers on deliveries
- Keep detailed records
- Maintain professional relationships with key suppliers, including annual assessments/evaluations
- Develop purchasing strategies and identify buying trends

**Required Skills & Experience**

**Technical & Software Skill Requirements**
- Previous experience in procurement or related position
- Previous experience with an ERP system: 1-5years
- Previous experience in a projectized work environment : 1-5years
- Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel

**Additional Skill Requirements**
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong negotiating & persuasion skills
- Highly self-motivated & directed, with a keen attention to detail
- Assertive decision making
- Strong trouble-shooting skills
- Able to prioritize & execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Strong team-working skills, with an ability to collaborate with a variety of team members

**Desirable Skills & Experience**
- Post-secondary degree in business operations, production, supply chain or related field
- Knowledge of international shipping practices
- Knowledge of TDG shipping practices
- Cash-handling skills
- ISO9001 quality control
- Familiarity with occupational health and safety programs
