The Kingston Frontenac Public Library (KFPL) has an opening for the position of Information Systems Assistant, full-time, permanent, unionized. The hours of work for this position include daytime, evening, and Saturday shifts - 35 hours / week.

**Primary Duties**:
Working under the supervision of the Systems Specialist who schedules and assigns work under the management of the Director, Facilities and Technology, responsibilities include:

- Configuration and maintenance of desktop computers, mobile devices, internet access, network hardware
- Provide hardware and software support to Windows based operating systems in a Windows Server environment spanning multiple sites
- Technical support for projects (e.g., Office365, Extended Hours, Kiosks), and a wide variety of hardware including, servers, desktops, printers, microfilm readers and RFID equipment

**Requirements**:

- A two-year diploma in Information Systems or equivalent experience (MCSE or Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate preferred)
- Two years’ experience in Information Systems with one year in the role of technical support
- Experience in configuring systems and installing peripherals
- Excellent knowledge of MS Windows environment and networking
- Knowledge and understanding of LinuxOS, VMWare, Docker, ManageEngine, web page development, and databases an asset
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong customer service ethic
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Must hold valid Class G driver’s license and be able to use own personal vehicle in performance of duties.

**Compensation**:
$46,233 - $50,683 per annum. A comprehensive benefits package including pension (OMERS) is provided. This position is covered by the terms of the CUPE Local 2202 collective agreement with the Kingston Frontenac Public Library.
