The Medical Director will oversee the clinical functioning of this Non-Hospital Surgical facility and ensure that all activities fall within the accredited standards laid out by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC. The Medical Director is hired by the Elizabeth Bagshaw clinic board, a non-profit society and will work closely with the Executive Director.
The Elizabeth Bagshaw Clinic (EBC) is non-profit, community-based health clinic. Since 1990, the EBC has provided reproductive and abortion care in a safe, non-judgmental, confidential, and respectful atmosphere. The clinic is committed to providing a high quality of care that is patient centered, culturally sensitive, and trauma-informed.
Reporting to the EBC Board of Directors and the Executive Director, you will provide medical leadership and direction to the Elizabeth Bagshaw Clinic. This position includes approximately 0.1 FTE of clinical leadership and is accountable for quality of medical care, meeting accreditation standards, setting clinical standards, clinical outcomes, and resource utilization management.
The Medical Director of Elizabeth Bagshaw Clinic (Bagshawclinic.ca) will hold a regular surgical staff position and share clinical duties with the other members of the medical team. Currently there are three OB/Gyne staff physicians and five Family Practice staff physicians.
