As a Terrestrial Ecologist, you will join our Calgary, Alberta office. The successful applicant will be involved in a broad range of soil, vegetation, wetlands and wildlife projects with responsibilities as follows:
- Active participation in maintaining Montrose strong safety culture- Assist with the coordination and execution of soil surveys, vegetation and wetland surveys, and various wildlife surveys- Assist with field survey data management- Assist with the preparation of reports- Travel, often to remote locations, will be required to carry out field programs.

What We Are Looking For- Strong oral and written communication skills- A valid class 5 driver’s license with no restrictions.- Experience with off-highway vehicles (i.e., ARGO, UTV) and trailer towing would be considered an asset- Cares about their safety and the safety of others- Brings knowledge of terrestrial sciences and assessment practices- Works easily in a team- Is thoughtful, thorough and inquisitive in completing office and field tasks- Has energy and desire to support others and respond to the changing needs of a dynamic environment

We offer a comprehensive compensation package, which includes benefits, RRSP matching, vacation days and sick days. This is a permanent position with a hourly rate range of $22.00-$32.00, starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location. We are also committed to flexible work hours and schedules, team-based work, and cross-training opportunities.
