**Job Overview**:
APTIM is seeking a Fabrication Manager to oversee the operations of our unionized Canadian fabrication facility in Sherwood Park, Alberta. The facility includes 25,000 Sq. Ft. of piping and structural steel fabrication and warehousing to support our field operations and external clients.

The Fabrication Manager will be accountable for:

- Health, Safety, and Environment
- Financial Results
- Financial Planning and Analysis
- Business Development and Client Relations
- Production Management, including Planning, Scheduling, and Budgeting
- Quality Management
- Supply Chain
- Engineering
- Warehousing and Inventory

**Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities**:

- Maintain the highest standards of health and safety, protecting our people and the local environment
- Ensure delivery of the APTIM Quality Management program from supplier to delivery
- Develop an effective fabrication organization through people and operational leadership
- Deliver profitable and on-time production to meet the needs of our field operations and external clients
- Develop collaborative relationships with internal and external clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Assist in the pursuit of new clients and maximize profitability of existing internal and external clients
- Lead start-up of additional fabrication facilities as may be required to meet the needs of APTIM clients across Canada
- Demonstrate ongoing compliance with various regulatory and legislative stakeholders including collective bargaining agreements, employment standards, and internal policy
- Diverse experience in fabrication, engineering, procurement, and construction management serving multiple industries and clients
- Experience with field installation, operations, and project management in the Oil, Gas, and Chemical industry
- Demonstrated financial acumen and related formal education
- Industry veteran with knowledge of industry trends, economic cycle, and general business environment
- Well established relationships with a variety of potential clients
- Entrepreneurial spirit and solutions focused, shows a high degree of creativity in problem solving
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English, refined presentation and public speaking skills
- Experience managing in building-trade union environments
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- Technology savvy, comfortable with computer systems and automation
- Hands on tools experience, Pipefitter or Boilermaker preferred
