**JOB TITLE**:Instructor, Casual

STEPs on Arthur, a vocational training center for adults with intellectual disabilities, is seeking to fill a casual instructor position.

This position will report directly to the Operations Manager(s) and will be responsible for the development and implementation of day to day vocational and life skills training to the participants in the program assigned. The instructor will be responsible for assisting to meet the financial goals and objectives of their assigned program and that of the agency. The instructor will actively participate in providing support to participants, staff, students and volunteers, using a positive, team centered approach.

The successful applicant will require strong interpersonal skills, effective documentation and reporting skills and the ability to prioritize workloads.

This is an hourly position that may require some nights, weekends and holidays.

**REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND TRAINING INCLUDES**:
A post-secondary degree/certificate in the human services field or equivalent of education & experience would be an asset.

Certification in First Aid, WHIMIS, NVCI/MANDT, Fire & Life Safety and Mental Health First Aid or a willingness to acquire within three months of hire.

A minimum of two (2) years working with persons with intellectual and physical disabilities.

Experience supporting individuals in Community Employment opportunities considered an asset.

Experience in the implementation of formal programs for behavior change considered an asset.
