**Job Duties**

**Specific Tasks/Key Responsibilities**
- Assist in the development and execute programs, special events of Gwen Secter
- Responsible for promoting Gwen Secter through social media
- Ability to assist with Meals on Wheels program
- Conduct outreach initiatives targeting isolated seniors
- Develop communication and promotional materials for Gwen Secter
- Support the work of the Executive Director and the Program Coordinator as needed

**Qualifications**:

- Experience working with seniors and/or in a non-profit setting
- Experience planning and implementing public relations strategies, including the use of social media, and creation of newsletters and other print materials
- Project management, prioritization, multi-tasking and time-management skills to meet deadlines
- Detail oriented with strong problem solving and organizational skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong writing, organizational, communication and presentation skills.

This position is being advertised under the Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) initiative. To be eligible for this position, you must be between 15 and 30 years of age on the start date of the job. You also must be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident or a refugee under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. You must also be legally entitled to work according to relevant provincial legislation and regulations.

Pay: From $15.30 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
