**The Opportunity**:
We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable **Assistant Store Manager. **The Assistant Store Manager plays an integral part of the Store Leadership team with a focus on guiding our customers through their retail experience by providing world class customer service. The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in employee growth and development by building rapport with all team members. The Assistant Store Manager will manage and implement company policies and procedures, while supporting daily operations; including staff management, inventory management and business analytics. The position will report directly to the Store Manager.
**Responsibilities**:
- Manage, support and implement business policies and procedures
- Recruit and engage within the community to identify top talent
- Support the Store Manager in hiring and training practices as set out by the company
- Identifying and communicating operational and team opportunities while providing a solution oriented plan
- Providing empathetic service to both customers and team members
- Resolving customer concerns in a timely fashion
- Execute merchandising planograms as directed by Store Manager
- Upholding high levels of visual merchandising
- Reviewing detailed business analytic reports to help identify and strategies and business opportunities
- Create and support business strategies that help drive sales and KPI’s by analyzing daily reports and fostering a feedback - driven work environment
- Training team members on all aspects of the business to ensure strong team cohesion and succession planning
- Lead by example
- Ensuring store needs are met through the implementation of scheduling guidelines and the monitoring and evaluation of key associate metrics
- Support the SM with communicating performance expectations to team members on an ongoing basis using both formal and informal methods
- Determine workload of team members to ensure a well operated store that adheres to local regulations in all aspects of the business
- Open and Close the store as required following the procedures per the Operations guideline
- Understand and be up-to-date on all City Cannabis marketing campaigns and activations that are relevant at store-level
- Promote the City Cannabis culture by becoming a Brand Ambassador and ensuring high levels of service and operations are maintained
- Developing a store culture of positivity and inclusivity
- Creating opportunities within the community
- Make local deliveries
**Who you are**:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of retail or hospitality management experience
- A coaching mentality this position is expected to provide daily feedback to all positions
- A leader by nature
- Must have some experience with business metrics
- Can demonstrate superior communication skills especially as it relates to performance management of team members
- Experience in training a team ensuring strong succession plan is in place
- Ability to execute corporate policies and procedures
**Salary**: $21.50-$23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week

**Experience**:
- Retail sales: 2 years (preferred)
- Retail management: 1 year (preferred)
- Leadership: 2 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
