**Job Purpose**

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a **Social Services Worker - Community Resources and Partnerships**. This role combines client support with community engagement and partnership-building to address barriers, foster resilience, and create opportunities for those we serve. As part of a non-profit organization, you will work to empower individuals, develop strategic relationships, and drive community-focused initiatives that align with our mission.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

**Client Support and Advocacy**
- Build trust and strong rapport with clients, understanding their unique challenges and needs.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to develop personalized support plans, setting achievable goals with clients.
- Assist clients in accessing resources, services, and programs that align with their objectives.
- Provide emotional support, actively listening to clients’ concerns, and empowering them with self-advocacy skills.
- Collaborate with community agencies to coordinate holistic support for clients.
- Represent the organization at meetings, workshops, and events, advocating for clients' needs and reducing barriers.

**Community Resource Development and Partnership Building**
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with companies, organizations, and community groups.
- Research and identify new collaboration opportunities to support the organization's mission.
- Serve as a liaison between the organization and external partners to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Work with internal teams to align partnerships with project and organizational goals.
- Organize and coordinate community engagement activities such as workshops, events, and training sessions.
- Monitor and evaluate partnership outcomes, preparing reports to showcase impact and success.

**Training and Education**
- Design and deliver workshops on topics like life skills, self-advocacy, and community integration.
- Develop educational resources tailored to client and community needs.
- Provide guidance on accessing educational and career development opportunities.

**Documentation and Reporting**
- Maintain accurate case notes, records, and documentation on client interactions and progress.
- Prepare detailed reports on individual and program outcomes, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations related to client data protection and confidentiality.

**Qualifications**
- A diploma in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in support work, community resource development, or partnership-building roles.
- Knowledge of community resources, and support services.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated empathy, problem-solving skills, and adaptability.
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.

**Working Conditions & Physical Requirements**
- Primarily day shifts, with occasional evenings for programming.
- Combination of desk work and community engagement, including some travel to Northern Ontario communities.
- Occasional lifting of donation bags or materials when required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 26 months

Pay: From $23.33 per hour

Expected hours: 32 per week
