Westpower is a leading North American rotating equipment solutions provider with services spanning industrial and engineered pumps, fabricated engineered fluid systems, reliability and lubrication products, field service and repair solutions that enhance performance.

The Sales Account Manager is responsible for representing Westpower and our OEM partners in all customer-facing activities. With Westpower’s expanded portfolio of engineered pump solutions and standard/industrial equipment, this role places a strong emphasis on new business development, prospecting, and market expansion.

This position requires an individual with strong sales drive, customer intelligence, and market knowledge, who is comfortable in competitive environments and capable of building long-term value-based partnerships

**Key Responsibilities**

**Business Development & Market Growth**
- Proactively research, identify, and pursue new business opportunities across target industries, expanding Westpower’s reach beyond oil & gas.
- Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with company growth goals for both engineered and standard equipment offerings.
- Conduct cold calls, prospecting campaigns, and in-person customer visits to initiate and grow new client relationships.
- Build a robust sales funnel by continuously developing prospects and tracking opportunities through CRM.

**Customer Relationship Management**
- Establish, strengthen, and maintain relationships with customers and key stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Promote the value of Westpower’s solutions through consultative selling, positioning the company as a long-term partner rather than a transactional supplier.
- Regularly meet with customers to identify needs, discuss projects, and introduce new solutions and product lines.

**Sales Execution & Strategy**
- Meet or exceed sales targets through disciplined prospecting, territory management, and account planning.
- Cross-sell Westpower’s portfolio of products and services, identifying opportunities to increase share of wallet.
- For assigned accounts, proactively map/identify all relevant decision-makers and sourcing contacts. Work to ensure Westpower receives all RFQs for applicable equipment (pumps, mixers, etc.), even from less-engaged departments, to expand visibility, gather market intelligence, and identify opportunities to strengthen or diversify the product lineup.
- Prepare and deliver impactful presentations and proposals tailored to client needs.
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing trends, and market developments to inform strategy and positioning.
- Develop account management strategies to ensure the retention of existing business and defend market share.

**Reporting & Communication**
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer contacts, opportunities, and sales activities in CRM.
- Prepare regular territory updates, sales reports, and pipeline forecasts for management and OEM partners.
- Gather and share market intelligence, competitor activity, and industry insights to support Westpower’s strategic planning.

**Collaboration & Support**
- Partner with internal technical teams to ensure customer requirements are met with the right solutions.
- Represent Westpower at industry events, trade shows, and conferences as required.

**Education, Skills and Experience**
- Post-secondary education in Engineering, Technology, or Business preferred. Equivalent industry experience will be considered.
- 3-7 years of experience in industrial / engineered equipment sales, or rotating equipment.
- Demonstrated success in cold calling, prospecting, and developing new markets/customers.
- Proven ability to develop relationships with decision-makers at multiple organizational levels.
- Industry knowledge in one or more of: chemical, food & beverage, pulp & paper, mining, or industrial manufacturing.
- Familiarity with pumps or related equipment is preferred, but not mandatory; must be eager to learn with support from technical teams.
- Strong business acumen, communication, and negotiation skills.
- High degree of self-motivation and ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $85,000.00-$115,000.00 per year
