Retail Support Officer

**Pay Grade: $41,529 to 52,422 **(commensurate with experience)
**Job Function**:
Assist the Branch Manager and Financial Advisor portfolios of business by providing administrative support and acting as a second point of contact for their members. Complete all general administration related to retail banking services. In a professional manner, with the emphasis on excellent member service, the Retail Support Officer will contact members to obtain required information/signatures, schedule appointments, etc. Will answer member inquiries and provide service on general banking related information including MemberDirect.
**Major Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Work closely with Branch Manager and Financial Advisors to support existing retail banking member relationships
- Ensure necessary regulatory and compliance guidelines and measures are followed
- Open new accounts (personal, non-profit and associations)
- Estate process - handle all in-branch processes- Process non-registered and registered deposits, transfers and withdrawals
- Document preparation for Branch Manager and Financial Advisors
- Monitor and complete various reports as required
- Handle member complaints in a professional courteous manner
- Assist with Line of Credit reviews and processing of required reports
- Enter all applicable information into “ACE” to enhance the credit union’s opportunity to better serve the membership and support the Advice Based model
- Assist with a variety of branch related duties and activities as instructed by the Branch Manager
- Ensure a proactive approach to member needs is taken in order to retain current business
- May assist with training, both in branch and with other branches
- Perform other duties as assigned
**Qualifications**:
- Post-secondary education in a related business field or equivalent work experience
- Working knowledge of all Credit Union retail products ( investments, lending, deposit accounts, other)
- Demonstrate working knowledge of credit policies and procedures and the credit underwriting process
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Member service experience and strong relationship building skills
- Demonstrate a propensity for thoroughness and accuracy
- Good computer skills including Word, and Excel
- Good organization and prioritization skills
- Ability to multitask in a dynamic and fast changing environment
- Display exceptional interpersonal skills by demonstrating approachability, trustworthiness, flexibility and a strong work and service ethic
