Monday to Friday 9:30 am to 5 pm (alternatively 11 am to 7 pm, 10 am to 4 pm). Your own vehicle and a minimum of one year of courier or delivery experience required.

Couriers and pizza delivery drivers who have many years of experience and outstanding attendance are highly sought and may be eligible for a starting bonus and somewhat higher pay.

This job has a lot of variety and is generally enjoyable. In a typical day you'll deliver pharmaceuticals to chatty seniors, impressive floral arrangements and Thai, Indian and Greek food. A route could be 10 urban pharmacy deliveries or a couple of rural flower deliveries, or a combination. You'll pick up at more than 20 businesses over the course of a week.

Most of the time the job is easy and straightforward. For some hours and some routes, there are detailed instructions to follow as well as route changes and adjustments to meet the timing requirements of particular deliveries. This requires cooperation and good communication from the driver. Drivers are also responsible for accepting cash and giving change on approximately 15 percent of deliveries as well as reading initial training materials and occasionally ongoing training.

We offer a healthy working environment. The manager, dispatchers and clients are respectful and reasonable. We have a Christmas party which includes year-end driver recognition for performance milestones and outstanding contributions.

We'll hold your hours for you on an ongoing basis if you're in good standing. (Our longest tenured drivers are 17 and 7 years).

**Pay**

Drivers are paid per-delivery and make tips. How this converts to hourly earnings is as follows:
While there are differences in earnings from hour to hour, there are not big blocks of downtime in the way that there are with some delivery apps, and you will have a predictable monthly income (within a range).

Additionally, there is bonus pay for holidays and for shifts where drivers choose to add additional hours to help out when there's a need.

**Is this a good fit for you?**...
- you have outstanding attendance of a minimum of 14 out of 15 shifts (average over a year) and preferably better. (Evening positions, with somewhat lower expectations for attendance, will be available beginning in September)
- you can do a regular, ongoing weekly schedule (Beginner in September, drivers with more casual availability will be welcome. Mostly for evenings)
- you enjoy driving and are very comfortable behind the wheel (including in the rain, dark, in traffic, while parallel parking, while your phone is making sounds, while answering a call from dispatch (hands free/ with bluetooth))
- the earnings fit your needs
- can handle some stress. Stress is not regular but it can come in bunches. Having poise is a must.
- comfortable with customer interactions. This isn't like driving a truck. There are a lot of interactions with customers and clients within a day. You don't have to be bubbly but you should be personable.
- reliable vehicle. And able and willing to have your vehicle repaired punctually when a problem arises.
