Weâre one global team â" 47,000 strong â" driven by a common purpose to deliver a better world. **Job Description**: Join the AECOM team as an Archaeology Technician III, based out of our London, Hamilton, Richmond Hill, or Barrie offices. **Job responsibility**: + Conduct Stages 2-4 archaeological fieldwork under the guidance of a field supervisor. + Identify and recover Indigenous and Euro-Canadian artifacts as directed by the site supervisor. + Prioritize Health and Safety, adhering to all AECOM procedures. + Willingness to travel and work out of town, across Ontario, for extended periods. + Assume a junior leadership role during fieldwork. + Provide technical support to the Field Supervisor. + Assist in training new team members. + Lead by example and take on additional tasks assigned by field supervisors/management. **Qualifications**: **Minimum Requirements**: + 4+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. + Ability to perform strenuous archaeological fieldwork, including lifting up to 40lbs and repetitive movements. + Effective and professional communication with the Field Supervisor regarding site work-related information, issues, and concerns. + Punctuality and preparedness for all weather conditions with appropriate gear readily available. + Reliable transportation to and from the assigned office or designated project meeting spot. + Sensitivity, awareness, and a respectful attitude towards Indigenous culture and people. **Preferred Qualifications**: + Proven ability to recognize cultural material and collect it in a controlled manner. + Demonstrated physical ability and care when conducting excavations. + Effective team player with demonstrated ability to work in a team environment. + Valid Ontario driver's license. + Ability to support the Field Supervisor with technical aspects of archaeology and lead the team. + Familiarity with MCM Standards & Guidelines for Consultant Archaeologists.
