**DESCRIPTION**:
Rocket Doctor’s Alberta Physician Lead will be responsible for recruiting, onboarding and support of all new physicians within Rocket Doctor in the province of Alberta. As well, they will join the MD Advisor team, collaborating to assist new physicians within Rocket Doctor across all provinces while helping to grow and optimize the medical side of the company through strategic planning.
- The primary objective of the physician lead is to help develop Rocket Doctor’s brand in all provinces we are open in or will be opening within Canada.
- The main responsibility of the Alberta physician lead will be recruitment and onboarding of physicians within Alberta, as well as building a strong community of MDs from Western Canada
- Physician leads will also be responsible for helping to train new physicians and familiarize them with the EMR, it’s extensions and ensure they are prepared to see patients on our platform, including billing codes and practices that are unique to the Province of Alberta
- Physician leads will also help to standardize and educate physicians on the RD platform with regards to physician billing practices and protocols (given they are unique in your particular province), for both insured and non-insured services
- The physician will also need to be actively involved on Slack - both the RD corporate and physician consumer facing sides - in order to help support physicians and RD staff with day to day physician and clinical-related issues
- The physician lead will also be responsible for helping to develop and continually improve our physician handbook
- It is expected that they will review physicians hours and help to ensure we have adequate coverage for our clinics in their catchment area on a daily basis
- The physician lead will provide feedback to the leadership team about the protocols, duties and responsibilities of all aspects and employees of Rocket Doctor they collaborate and work with
- This position will also provide an opportunity based on performance, to earn pay bonuses and greater responsibilities / promotions as Rocket Doctor grows as a company

**DUTIES / REQUIREMENTS**:

- Be organized, positive and uplifting. The physician lead is a representative of Rocket Doctor and is an exemplar of how we expect physicians working on our platform perform and interact with patients and Rocket Doctor staff
- Maintain the standard of professionalism established by your province’s respective college (CPSO / CPSA) as well as inform Rocket Doctor if you have any formal outstanding professionalism complaints
- Troubleshooting and planning around emerging physician roadblocks and challenges
- Proactive management of the physician journey
- Knowledge of EMR, RD’s extensions as well as privacy requirements in the Canada/USA (HIPAA, PHIPA, PIPEDA)
- Business and tech savvy acumen
- Engagement with the physician advisory team as well as product development team for process improvement initiatives
- Maintain a professional and respectful relationship with all RD staff and patient correspondence
- Ability to work with confidential company information

**WORK / TRAVEL**:

- Position is remote in Canada. Must be able to adequately perform the above duties with reasonable accommodation. Requirements to be adjusted quarterly.
