**Job Title: NEMT (Non-Emergency Medical Transportation) Driver**

**Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Safely operate company vehicles to transport patients to and from medical appointments, ensuring timeliness and comfort.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in proper working condition.
- Assist patients in entering and exiting the vehicle as needed, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of trips, patient pickups and drop-offs, and vehicle inspections.
- Ensure vehicles are fueled, clean, and well-maintained for every trip.
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure the safe transportation of patients.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, medical facilities, and other team members regarding patient schedules and delivery times.
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive experience for patients and their families.
- Address any concerns or issues promptly and professionally, escalating them to management as needed.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and respect their privacy in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a driver, preferably in NEMT or similar transportation services.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and vehicle maintenance practices.
- Ability to lift and assist patients, and to provide support for those with mobility challenges.
- Good communication skills to interact with patients, families, and team members.
- Ability to navigate using maps, GPS systems, or other tools for route planning.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to adhere to tight schedules.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor with an understanding of the needs of those requiring medical transportation.
- Ability to work independently while being a team player when needed.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and care.
- **Must have a vulnerable sector check.**

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience in non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) services is a plus.
- CPR/First Aid certified (or willingness to obtain certification).
- Familiarity with the local area, including road networks and healthcare facilities.

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
