**Health Care Aide
- Must be located in Edmonton, have Class 5 License and reliable vehicle and willingness to travel to clients in Edmonton**
Duties Include but not limited too:
- Helping clients to stay independent in their homes by monitoring and recording the client’s condition, providing support and personal services, and teaching families.
- Home making and meal preparation
- Lift and transfer patients safely and with proper technique - Administer first aid and emergency care when necessary - Monitors client condition by observing physical and mental condition, intake and output, and exercise.
- Supports clients by providing housekeeping and laundry services, shopping for food and other household requirements, preparing and serving meals and snacks, and running errand
- Assist with medication administration under the supervision of licensed professionals
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to meet the needs of patients
- Advocate for resident rights and ensure their well-being
- Assists clients by providing personal services, such as, bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assists on nutrition, cleanliness, and housekeeping.
**Experience**:
- Previous experience in a healthcare, homecare or caregiving role is preferred, but not required
- Familiarity with basic healthcare procedures and terminology is a plus
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team setting
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
- Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and empathy
Job Requirements:
- Current Criminal Records Check ( completed in the last 6 months)
- Negative TB test ( completed in the last 6 months)
- Healthcare Aid Certificate
- CPR and First Aid
- Class 5 Drivers license
