Ermine Power Station is a natural gas-fired station owned by SaskPower, under construction about 10 km southeast of Kerrobert, Saskatchewan (located 180 kilometers West of Saskatoon) and operated as a peaking plant.

The scope of work includes the expansion of an existing power plant, by constructing an additional simple-cycle gas turbine (SCGT) facility. The new SCGT facility will generate an additional 46 MW of power, which will power an additional 46,000 homes. The civil works portion includes the underground piping earthworks, piling earthworks, excavation and reinforced concrete foundation works, and site grading/drainage improvements.

**Jardeg is recruiting for a Mobile Crane Operator (30-60 Ton RT crane) Journeyperson to join the Ermine Sask Power Station project on a 10/4 rotation.**

Crane Operator Journeypersons service and operate booms that are mounted on crawlers or wheeled frames as well as traveling, fixed or climbing type hoisting equipment with a vertical mast or tower and a jib.

**Responsibilities**:

- Safely operate hoisting and swinging equipment within plant sites and/or remote locations
- Operators manipulate a number of pedals and levers to rotate the crane, and raise and lower its boom and one or more load lines
- May drive the crane to the job site, rig the machine up (pin the boom and pendant cables and pull the hoist cable in preparation for operation)
- Set up the machine for the lift (i.e., make it level and stable) using blocking and leveling materials.
- Effectively communicate with ground crews using hand and voice communication signals
- Load, transport and unload equipment and material, to and from location
- Perform scheduled maintenance on equipment as required
- Ensure equipment is operated & maintained to maximum productivity & efficiency
- Able to operate a rough terrain crane
- Able to work near live pipe and electrical lines.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Must have a certified mobile crane operator ticket
- Certified Journeyperson with Journeyperson level experience
- Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certification/Safety Construction Orientation Training (SCOT) required
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
- Driver’s License and 5-year Driver’s Abstract
- A & D Testing is required
