**_Red Deer Resort & Casino is looking for a high-caliber, skilled Carpenter to join our Maintenance Team on a contract basis. Your main role will be to support the maintenance team by performing general carpentry, finishing experience in interior renovations, painting and drywall patching. Skills and experience in lieu of formal education will also be considered._**

**Must have experience in the following renovations categories**:

- General Carpentry
- Finishing experience in interior renovations
- Painting
- Drywall/mudding
- Cabinetry
- Door installations
- Minor electrical
- Minor plumbing

**Minimum Requirements and Qualifications**:

- Prior related experience in the field of maintenance is a must.
- Knowledge of safe operation of basic hand and power tools
- Knowledge of workplace safety, and safe lifting and handling procedures
- Able to work as a part of a team or individually as required
- Able to readily determine the correct tools and equipment needed to do the job
- Good time-management skills
- Respect for diversity; treat others with respect
- Lean thinker - able and willing to make suggestions or improvements
- As a condition of employment, associates are to have a criminal record check prior to their first day of wor

**Work Environment**
- This position can be physically demanding, requiring frequent standing and walking.
- Ability to tolerate exposures to heat, cold and water
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- While performing the duties of this job, there may be stooping, kneeling, bending, reaching and crouching.
- Must be able to physically climb ladders or crawl into awkward spaces
- Must be willing to wear personal protective equipment.

**Hours of Work**
- The hours of work for this position will vary depending on operational requirements but will include day, evening and late night, as well as weekends and holidays.
