**JOB PURPOSE**
The Warehouse Program Coordinator is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the Warehouse Training Program, with a focus on logistics, organization, and inventory management. Central to this role is providing mentorship and hands-on training to participants with lived experience of poverty and homelessness, in close collaboration with the Case Management team.

**ABOUT THE PROGRAM**
The Warehouse Training Program offers individuals with lived experience of poverty or homelessness practical training in inventory management, including sorting, tracking, and workplace safety. Participants work alongside volunteers to receive, sort, and store a variety of supplies—such as clothing, hygiene products, and food items—that support Ve’ahavta’s outreach van operations.

This paid training opportunity is designed for those interested in pursuing a career in inventory or warehouse management. Participants are also supported by a Career Counsellor and Case Manager to set goals and create pathways toward further education or employment.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**
Reporting to the Manager of Program Operations, you will:

- Mentor and Train Participants: Lead training and orientation for all new program participants, taking into account their individual experiences with poverty and homelessness. Support participants in their learning goals and help them navigate the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Support and Supervise Volunteers: Oversee volunteer involvement in the warehouse, ensuring thorough onboarding, training, and meaningful opportunities for engagement with program participants.
- Manage Daily Warehouse Operations: Ensure smooth day-to-day operations, including inventory management, organization, and logistics. Maintain adequate stock levels by regularly monitoring supplies and communicating with vendors.
- Champion Health and Safety: Promote a safe and supportive environment by ensuring all participants and volunteers follow proper health and safety protocols.
- Foster Community and Collaboration: Create an inclusive and empowering space that fosters strong relationships between participants and volunteers.
- Coordinate Offboarding and Transition Support: Collaborate with the Case Management team to provide a streamlined offboarding process and connect graduates with ongoing support and post-program opportunities.

**QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIRED SKILLS**
- 1-2 years of experience in warehouse coordination or inventory management
- 1+ years of supervisory experience
- 2+ years of experience working with vulnerable populations (experience supporting individuals with lived experience of poverty or homelessness is a strong asset)
- Demonstrated skills, experience, and passion for training, teaching, and mentorship
- Proficiency with online communication tools; experience using a Learning Management System (LMS) is an asset
- Highly organized, dependable, and enjoys hands-on work
- Excellent interpersonal skills; compassionate, patient, and supportive
- Safety-focused and responsible in all aspects of warehouse operations
- Physically able to lift and move heavy items as part of daily tasks
