The Duty Manager is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient execution of all day to day tasks related to their local Sky Cafe Station.
Job Responsibilities
- Overall Job Duties
- Promote and embody the company core values, ensuring all team members are committed

- Promote a Safety-First environment within the workplace
- Engage in regular employee/leadership engagement meetings
- Ensure employees are in compliance with uniform, appearance, and personal protective equipment policies (safety toe shoes, uniform cleanliness, and jewelry)
- Adhere to all policies and follow established procedures
- Participate in required meetings, providing input and recommendations
- Conduct appropriate Operational/Safety briefings
- Conduct training and provide ongoing training support to all staff.
- Perform audits ensuring all employees are following Company policies and procedures
- Actively participates in the Safety Management System (SMS)
- Ensure GPET incident report (Safety Management System - SMS) is generated and sent out within 3 hours of occurrence
- Ensure all required training is completed to company standard
- Perform all functions of all operational positions, as needed
- Delegate job duties as required and ensure completion
- Ensure timely execution of all required duties and expectations
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Transport Focus
- Ensure the completion of DFR’s, Catering logs and Vehicle Inspections
- Ensure all required PPE is properly worn
- Coordination and oversight of aircraft turnaround activities
- Ensure aircraft is loaded in accordance with operational instruction
- Follow and enforce all airline SOPs in accordance with training
- Ensure foreign object debris walks are performed accordingly
- Works in conjunction with the team and remains within the footprint of each assigned flight to oversee the safe and timely operation
- Ensure that processes are delivered within SLA standards and compliance limits while adhering to safety requirements
- Ensure all aircraft issues are reported to the flight crew
- Perform ramp audits
- Update GPET according to the shift worked - GPET must be updated for all flight serviced per shift including double checking for accuracy to ensure that all extra charges and information is inputted correctly
- Warehouse Focus
- Delegate and assign daily responsibilities among all operations’ team members
- Ensure all flights are built to carrier specifications
- Audit flight builds for compliance
- Ensure the completion of all required inventory counts within requested time frames and confirm accuracy
- Ensure the completion of Temperature and Cleaning logs within the warehouse
- Ensure all In Bound Shipments are received according to SOP
- Ensure all Outbound Shipments are sent according to SOP
- Ensure warehouse set up and preparation meets expectations
- Ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) of all goods is followed
- Coordinate the release of catering, bond, and commissary requirements

**Requirements**:

- Be at least 18 years of age
- 2-3 years of leadership experience
- Possess a valid driver’s license and maintain in good standing
- Ability to work on a permanent basis in Canada
- Obtain a clear criminal record
- Must obtain necessary airport and/or Transport Canada security clearances and maintain in good standing
- Must obtain necessary airport vehicle operators permit and maintain in good standing
- Must be able to operate all equipment as pertains to the position (forklifts, high lift trucks, catering vans)
