**Overview**
The Market and Liquidity Risk (MLR) team (within the Risk Quantification group) ensures that EDC's market, liquidity and counterparty risks are measured, reported, and understood in order to promote effective decision making. MLR helps assist EDC in navigating the increasingly volatile risk environment by providing information relating to credit risk management, liquidity risk management, developing best practices in Asset Liability Management and Treasury portfolio risk management, and reporting on securities and financial derivatives valuation, policy positions and more.
**This is a two year contract role
**Key Responsibilities**
- Assessment and recommendation of counterparty credit risk of Treasury counterparties (i.e. financial institutions, corporates, reinsurance counterparties), as well as ongoing credit surveillance and risk quantification activities.
- Adheres to acceptable credit standards to ensure appropriate documentation, credit analysis and recommended decisions. Prepares credit material and recommendations for approval.
- Independent challenge function performed objectively and tailored to the risk.
- Provides support for the quantification of market, liquidity and counterparty risk.
- Measures, monitors and reports adherence to market, liquidity and counterparty risk policy and procedural limits.
- Works in collaboration with the Treasury Team and other internal partners to manage the credit portfolio.
- Assists in the management of a collateral program.
- Documents credit risk processes and procedures.
- Contribute and provide accurate reporting on activities as inputs for Asset Liability Committee, Risk Management Committee and Board reporting.
- Ad hoc projects on counterparty risk, liquidity risk and other process improvements.
**Screening Criteria**
- Undergraduate degree in Commerce or Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in (Credit Risk Manager) or 7 -10 years of experience (Senior Credit Risk Manager) in Credit risk management/Finance/ Treasury.
- Strong knowledge of credit risk management principles and practices. Quantitative and financial analysis abilities.
- Understanding of liquidity, interest rate and foreign exchange risk.
- Knowledge of capital markets and treasury financial instruments.
- Ability to stay firm on decisions when warranted, but also with the flexibility to reconsider if relevant new information presents itself.
**Assets**
- CPA, MBA, FRM, CFA Charterholder or enrollment in the CFA program
- Bilingual in both official languages (French and English)
- Programming skills in data manipulation (SQL, Python, Power BI)

- Actuarial Analysis 19: Salaries typically range from $109, 810 to $146, 413 based on qualifications and experience.
