**Overview**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Review and interpret project specifications, drawings, and contract documents to determine project scope and requirements.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to gather essential data and clarify project objectives.
- Calculate and prepare comprehensive cost estimates for HVAC, plumbing, piping, and mechanical systems using estimating tools such as Auto Bid, Bluebeam, and Excel.
- Analyze material, labor, and equipment needs for each project and identify areas for cost-saving through value engineering.
- Present well-structured proposals and cost breakdowns to internal teams and clients, either virtually or in-person.
- Maintain and update a detailed database of material and labor costs to ensure ongoing estimating accuracy and efficiency.
- Participate actively in company-provided training programs to enhance technical knowledge and sales acumen.

**Skills & Competencies**:

- In-depth knowledge of **mechanical and/or refrigeration systems and applicable building codes.**:

- High proficiency in **reading and interpreting construction drawings and technical specifications.**:

- Strong analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Skilled in the use of **estimating software (Auto Bid), markup tools (Bluebeam), and Microsoft Excel.**:

- Effective communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and with external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

**Qualifications**:

- **Journeyman certification in Sheet Metal/HVAC or Plumbing would be an asset.**:

- **Proven experience in a mechanical estimating role within the commercial or institutional sectors.**:

- **Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) integration is considered an asset**.

Pay: $80,000.00-$120,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
