**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Set up and operate horizontal machining centres (Okuma experience considered an asset)
- Perform progressive setups for production runs and small-batch parts
- Work with multi-axis lathes and machining centres
- Edit and adjust CNC programs to ensure optimal machine performance and quality
- Perform in-process inspections using appropriate measuring tools to ensure components meet specifications
- Troubleshoot machine and tooling issues and implement corrective actions
- Follow ISO quality procedures to ensure consistent part quality
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices
- Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures
- Carry out other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager
- Ensure all business activities are conducted in line with JGW’s Code of Business Conduct and Confidentiality Policy

**Skill Requirements**:

- Proven ability to set up and operate CNC machines, specifically horizontal machining centres
- Familiarity with Okuma controls or similar CNC platforms
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
- Strong understanding of metal materials and machining processes
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, height gauges)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work efficiently with mínimal supervision
- Ability to contribute positively within a team environment

**Effort & Work Conditions**:

- Strong attention to detail and a hands-on, results-oriented mindset
- Requires occasional lifting of products up to 30 pounds
- Standing for prolonged periods and performing repetitive tasks
- May require bending, crouching, and kneeling as part of daily duties
- Occasional exposure to warm temperatures during summer months

**Qualifications**:

- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Completion of a technical or machining-related program (college or apprenticeship) is an asset
- Working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations
- Previous experience in a CNC setup/operator role within a manufacturing environment is required

**Location**:
This position is located in **Princeton, Ontario**, just 25 minutes from Kitchener/Cambridge and 10 minutes from Brantford.
