**Position: Fuel/Lube Service Technician**

**Location: Edmonton, Alberta**

**Type: Full Time, Hourly**

Kichton Contracting Ltd. Is looking for an experienced, full time (seasonal) **Fuel/Lube Service Technician**. We are looking for an outgoing, adaptable individual looking to learn and grow within our team and industry.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Refuel and lubricate various types of heavy equipment (CAT, John Deere, Hitachi) in a safe and environmentally friendly manner to maximize equipment availability and performance
- Perform preventative maintenance and servicing of fleet vehicles and heavy equipment
- Complete detailed reports on refueling and lubricating, at the end of each shift
- Monitor records and track hours of service for assigned company vehicles
- Maintain fuel and lube truck and equipment on a continuous basis including keeping it clean and free of safety hazards
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards
- Communicate updates pertaining to maintenance, safety and/or environmental issues to supervisor on a daily basis
- Take oil samples and complete necessary paperwork required to process
- Participate in daily toolbox talks and regular safety meetings
- Promote safety awareness by ensuring compliance of corporate heath and safety policies and procedures
- Report all incidents, damage and near misses immediately

**Required Qualifications**:

- Must be 18 years of age
- Minimum of 2 years of previous experience working as a Service Technician in civil construction
- Valid class 3Q driver’s license (clean abstract) with own transportation
- Valid CSTS-09 or CSTS-2020
- Valid WHMIS 2015 certification
- Valid TDG certification
- Valid Ground Disturbance certification

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- Strong interpersonal skills, and an ability to participate positively in an engaging culture
- Must be able to organize and plan tasks, with an ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Must be dependable
- Effective attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

**Working Conditions**:

- Overtime as required
