A Bread Affair is looking for a **Sandwich Maker/Kitchen Assistant** to support our Pastry Chefs in our Granville Island bakery. In this role, you will work closely with our talented team, helping to prepare high-quality pastry and sandwich products using organic ingredients from British Columbia and beyond.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist Pastry Chefs with food preparation and maintaining kitchen efficiency
- Prepare and assemble sandwiches with attention to quality and presentation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work environment
- Follow kitchen safety and hygiene protocols
- Support teamwork and contribute to a positive work atmosphere

**What We’re Looking For**:

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality
- Team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Flexibility to assist with various kitchen tasks as needed
- Food preparation experience is an asset but not required
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- FoodSafe certification (preferred)

**Job Details**:

- **Shifts**: Morning shifts starting at 7:00 AM, 8:00 AM, or 9:00 AM
- **Job Type**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
- **Pay**: $17.40 - $18.50 per hour (+ tips)
